Ian is a Christian, a journeyman carpenter and reserve soldier in the Canadian Forces who reads as much about financials as he can and uses the information he finds to direct his personal investment strategies. His thoughts are posted here, and should be considered the ramblings of a madman and no one in there right mind should consider this as "advice". Should you find yourself considering what he says here as pretty intelligent, understand this, he still works 44 hours a week at a regular job! Don't do what he does.

Thanks for the comment Jon. I read what I can about the Sage of Omaha, as well as Ben Graham and recently read Greenblatt's "The Little Book that Beats the Market"; I suspect he is a 'disciple' of Grahams. I actually did not know Agrium was a retail farm chain store since the area where I am is dominated by UFA.

Great choice.Agrium is a Buffett type company that should be a great long term holding. Not just a commodity play like most investors believe. They are now the largest farm store chain in North America and probably the world. The CEO bought stock and the company is buying back stock too.

Wow! Thanks for your comment! Your the first one to post to this site. I guess it is public access but for the most part this is just me messing about trying to understand wordpress. This past week has seen some exciting times in the market and me having some skin in this business left me deciding to talk about it. It's funny that you say go back to bartering. That is something I have been doing with others for a while. I'm collecting the things I need to build a house on some land I own through bartering! Thanks for your comments agian.
